How to reach Cefalù?

Perhaps during your trip in Palermo you desire to visit Cefalù.

Cefalù is a wonderful city. You will surely enjoy strolling along its streets and along the beach or visiting its church, which belongs to Arab-Norman route, and you will certainly enjoy eating in its characteristic restaurants, some of which have a terrace overlooking the sea.

Cefalù is a tourist destination especially in summertime. There are numerous tourists from all over the world who come to this town of Norman origin. And its beaches are beautiful!

But also in other times of the year Cefalù worths a visit.

In autumn and springtime, as there is not a huge influx of tourists like in the summer months, you have the opportunity to turn it around and live it peacefully. In wintertime, instead, Cefalù has an indisputable charm.

Cefalù can also be the starting point for exploring small cities or more or less famous places located in its vicinity, like Castelbuono, or to explore Fiumara d'Arte, a wonderful open-air museum of contemporary works of art located near several small villages.


But how can you reach Cefalù?

You can reach it in several ways.

If you rent a car then you should drive along Highway Palermo-Catania and follow directions.

By train: one way ticket cost € 5.60 or € 9,00 from main Central Station in Palermo and the train ride to Cefalù takes about 50 min and there are several trains during the day.

By bus you can reach by Sais Trasporti. You can take bus in Cairoli Square (near Corso dei Mille, not far from Central Station) and one-way ticket costs about € 5,70 and a return ticket costs € 10,00.
Ride takes about 1 hour and leaves early in the morning or from 11am onwards
